Perfect Intuition
How do you know when something is right - or dare I say, perfect?
I don’t usually think of myself as intuitive, but there have been a handful of times where I just knew what the right thing to do was, even if I had no obvious evidence to support that decision.
And those decisions were big: moving 1500 miles away from home, finding my life partner, changing careers to coaching, and starting my own business.
It was if something clicked into place, fitting perfectly.
Often decisions are a struggle. Weighing pros and cons. Thinking through multiple possible outcomes. Agonizing about the implications. But we often forget to tap into our intuition. Some of us (me!) have learned to ignore intuition to the point that we can’t even hear it.
Over the years I lost touch with my intuition. It would show up every 10 years or so, but on a daily basis, I could not hear my own guidance. I had actually stopped trusting my intuition - but didn’t even realize I could no longer hear it over the noise of logic and the words of reason.
But when we reconnect with our intuition, magic happens. That magic for me happened in a 25 minute coaching session last November. It was then that I realized how disconnected I had become from my own intuition. Talk about a Joy Jumpstart!
When we can hear our intuition, those tough decisions become much easier. Instead of agonizing over lists of pros and cons, we use our inner coach in combination with our logic to build the life we want.
What is one decision you have made in your life that you knew was exactly the right thing to do?
