The books we read….

A friend recently asked for some book recommendations, as they had decided to challenge themselves to read 26 books in 2026 (they are a plan-ahead kind of person! 🤣)

I sent over my four favorites, but it got me to thinking - how do these books relate to each other? And why do they resonate with me?

Turns out, all of my favorites weave themes that I bring into my everyday life and into my work with clients and colleagues. They reflect my beliefs about who we are as humans, our ability to choose and then to grow in that direction.

My favorite books explain how people are successful in business, at losing weight, at endurance sports (frequent readers will know how much I love marathon swimming!), at creating close-knit families, in fact, wherever people create success. My key takeaways:

✨Success is not a random gift given to the chosen few

✨Anyone can learn the habits of success

✨Success is a journey chosen daily

✨We get to choose our direction

✨Intelligence and success are not fixed - you can change

❓What is your favorite book - and what was the key thing you learned from it?
